dc.description.abstractThis study examines the crucial role of leadership in enhancing employee performance within the hospitality industry, focusing on one hotel in Lusaka District, Zambia. A qualitative method was employed involving interviews and focus group discussions with 20 respondents. The findings reveal the significance of active listening, leading by example, recognition, and appreciation as essential leadership traits. Moreover, the study highlights the importance of continuous employee training, effective collaboration, strong communication, and positive organizational culture in optimizing corporate performance. The research emphasizes the pivotal role of leadership in shaping organizational outcomes and enhancing employee well-being.
